I am a licensed clinical and forensic psychologist with nearly two decades of experience at the intersection of psychology and the law. I trained at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County and at Department of State Hospitals - Atascadero, one of California's maximum-security forensic facilities, where I co-designed and led the Enhanced Treatment Unit, a statewide pilot for the most violent forensic patients, later featured on NPR. I spent six years conducting violence risk evaluations for the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, completed hundreds of PCL-R psychopathy evaluations, and earned formal certification with Dr. Adelle Forth, co-developer of the instrument.

That work gave me something rare: a sustained, close-range view of how psychopathic and severely narcissistic people actually operate. I have sat across from people who were charming and credible in the room and methodically cruel outside it. I know the patterns from the inside, the obsession, the control, the steady rewriting of reality, the way the person who did the harm casts themselves as the victim, the particular danger of someone who simply does not stop.

I now work on the other side of that dynamic, with the people these individuals target. You will not have to persuade me of what you are dealing with, or explain why it was hard to leave, or why you may not have left at all. I already understand how these relationships work and how they hold on.

My work is helping you hold onto your clarity and your sanity, and build a life that is yours, whether the person is someone you have left, someone you still love, or someone you remain tied to through children or circumstance. You are coming to someone who already understands what that is.
